At the end of the summer, passengers should be able to pay via smart phone in the 1,000 Hansa Funk taxis.
The Yapital app is required to do this. With this, the passengers scan a QR code on the customer
terminal in the taxi and confirm the payment. Even sharing the travel
expenses is possible when the passengers send their amounts separately.
“A taxi ride should be quick and easy – and the same applies for the payment
method,” says Nils Winkler, Chairman of the Board of Yapital. “It doesn‘t matter
whether night owl or business customer on the way to the next appointment:
The taxi guests have the smartphone to hand anyway.”
Dirk Schütte, CEO of the Hansa Funktaxi eG, adds: “Hansa Funktaxi has
taken a pioneering role in the industry when it came to introducing the opportunity
to pay via credit card in all taxis. Paying via smart phone is the next step
– and we are happy that we are also in the lead here with Yapital as a partner.”
